SunLine Transit Agency to Hold Annual Fill the Bus Food Drive TOMORROW

(Thousand Palms, CA) SunLine Transit Agency will launch its 10th Annual Holiday Food Drive tomorrow, Thursday, November 17, 7:00am to 7:00pm. SunLine will park a bus at three grocery store locations in the Coachella Valley to help two worthwhile organizations get through the Holidays.

This year’s event benefits two outstanding community organizations: Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and Food Now. These organizations are supported by the generosity of Coachella Valley residents. SunLine invites the community to help fill the bus with non-perishable food items, frozen meats and other assorted trimmings for holiday meals. SunLine also asks residents to donate new packaged toiletries, personal hygiene products, diapers and other household products.

“SunLine staff and volunteers from Coachella Valley Rescue Mission and Food Now will be onsite to accept donations, greet donors, assist with drop-offs and thank the community for their generosity,” said Lauren Skiver CEO/General Manager of SunLine Transit Agency. “Fill the Bus brings much-needed relief to the community during the holiday season and we are looking forward to assisting individuals and families in the Coachella Valley.”

The locations of the buses this year are as follows:

  • Walmart: 34-500 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA
  • Stater Bros: 78-630 Highway 111, La Quinta (Hwy. 111 & Washington)
