Special Assistant to the GM/Clerk of the Board

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide day to day high level administrative and secretarial support to the CEO/General Manager and the management team; assist CEO/General Manager with special projects and assignments as directed. Serve as Clerk of the Board managing and supporting documents and correspondence preparation and distribution; information tracking, recording and reporting; involving information review, including summarization, analysis, and interpretation. Requiring a high level of confidentiality, ability to make good judgment decisions in setting priorities in workload; good communication skills in all aspects of job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associates Degree or five years direct related experience
  • Basic statistical analysis office administration practices and procedures, including recordkeeping and filing.
  • Principle and practices of sound business communication; correct English usage, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and advanced use Microsoft Suite and other data bases
  • Ability to handle conflict with courtesy, diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality, attention to detail; accuracy
  • Terminology, technical work processes and local, state and federal requirements applicable to areas of assigned responsibility
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, with a reputation for garnering respect at all levels
Applicant must have a valid California Class C driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance policy.
