Conference to Highlight Innovation and Sustainability in the Coachella Valley

(Indian Wells, CA) – SunLine Transit Agency is proud to host the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Business Members Annual Meeting in the Coachella Valley this week, happening now through January 31. Held at the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, this prestigious event brings together transportation professionals from across the nation to discuss the future of public transportation and explore innovative solutions for communities.

SunLine’s Chair, Mayor Nancy Ross of Cathedral City, will officially welcome attendees to the event on January 29. "We are thrilled to host such an important gathering of transportation leaders here in our beautiful Coachella Valley," said Mayor Ross. "This event not only highlights SunLine’s role in the industry, but it also underscores our region’s growing influence in the public transit sector. We’re excited to share the progress we've made in sustainable transportation."

As part of the event, on Friday, January 31, APTA attendees will have the opportunity to visit SunLine's facilities for a tour, where they will learn about SunLine’s innovative hydrogen infrastructure and how it is helping to shape the future of public transit.

SunLine Transit Agency extends a heartfelt thank you to APTA for its continued economic contributions and community service in the Coachella Valley. APTA organized activities that make a significant contribution to the Valley’s economy and culture, showcasing its exceptional attractions and encouraging visitors to return. Among these activities was a volunteer event at the Coachella Valley Horse Rescue in Indio, a meaningful cause which the Agency is pleased to support.

APTA’s commitment to public transportation is invaluable," added Mayor Ross. "Their support has made a tremendous impact on our community, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration to improve the lives of our residents and visitors."
