LH2 FUELING STATION

Notice is hereby given that the SunLine Transit Agency (AGENCY) is soliciting Request for Qualifications seeking firms for the Design and Construction of the Liquid Hydrogen (LH2) Fueling Station (PROJECT) according to the content and format requirements set forth in this Request for Qualifications (RFQ).  Only California licensed and registered design professionals will be allowed to perform the completed design work. The respondent must possess either a Class A or Class B license. This project will be subject to California and Federal prevailing wage requirements.

This procurement is structured to comply with the requirements of California Public Contract Code §20209.5 which governs the Design/Build process for Municipal Transportation Operators such as SunLine. The California Public Contract Code requires the Agency to prepare and issue a request for qualifications in order to prequalify or short-list the design/build entities whose proposals shall be evaluated for final selection.  Only proposers that have been shortlisted will be allowed to propose on the LH2 Fueling Station as the Design/Build entity. The procurement will also meet the requirements of all other applicable California and Federal Transit Administration laws and regulations.  Information required under this RFQ that is not otherwise a public record under the California Public Records Act (Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 6250) of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code) shall not be open to public inspection.

The complete RFQ and any addenda may be obtained through the AGENCY’s website https://www.sunline.org/about-us/procurements. All communications related to this RFQ Process, including addenda, will be issued to the firms on the RFQ Solicitor’s List. It shall be the Proposer’s responsibility to make inquiry as to addenda issued.

To register on the RFQ Solicitor’s List, prospective Respondents must notify the AGENCY of their interest in submitting an email indicating an interest in submitting a response to this solicitation to Sara Parrish at sparrish@sunline.org. Please provide name of the firm, address, key contact name along with their email and phone number, and secondary contact name along with their email and phone number.

Sealed Requests for Qualifications will be received until 2:00 p.m. PST, December 16, 2021 at SunLine Transit Agency, 32-505 Harry Oliver Trail, Thousand Palms, CA 92276, and shall be labeled “22-035 LH2 Fueling Station”.  Questions associated with this request shall be submitted by 2:00 p.m. December 1, 2021.  Requests for Qualifications received after 2:00 p.m. on December 16, 2021 will not be considered.
