(Thousand Palms) – SunLine Transit Agency will once again host its 11th Annual Holiday Food Drive, Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. SunLine will park a bus at three grocery store locations in the Coachella Valley to help two worthwhile organizations service those in need during the holidays.
Winning Entries to Appear Fully Wrapped on SunLine Buses
(Thousand Palms) SunLine Transit Agency has launched its 3rd Student Art Contest, encouraging local elementary (grades K-5) and middle school (grades 6-8) students to submit entries focused on the art contest’s theme, “SunLine Buses are Important for the Coachella Valley and the Environment.” Participating students should include buses and landmarks unique to the Coachella Valley, including but not limited to, mountains, palm trees and windmills. Submissions are due June 1, 2018.
(Palm Desert, CA) - SunLine Transit Agency will launch its new Haul Pass program providing free unlimited SunBus rides for students actively enrolled in College of the Desert (COD) this fall. College of the Desert is the initial participating school partner in this program.
SunLine received a $696,048 grant from California’s Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) to fund a three-year program. The Haul Pass program will grow using assistance from participating schools – beginning with this College of the Desert partnership.
